چکیده
Excellent strength regenerated alginate composite fibers mixed with Poly (ethylene glycol) grafted cellulose nanocrystals (CNC-g-PEG) were prepared through a simple and scalable blending strategy. Firstly, high modulus (CNCs) fabricated based on waste cotton fabrics by the chemical treatment. (PEG) different molecular weight was onto CNC surface. The from CNC-g-PEG/sodium spinning dope wet spinning. CNC-g-PEG/Alginate characterized using FTIR, XRD, scanning electron microscopy, mechanical testing. morphology of SEM image showed that CNC-g-PEG partially eliminated defects matrix increased roughness fracture cross-section, constructing material denser microstructure. Under same load, addition has better effects properties than CNCs. maximum elongation at break for 56.3% 81.6% as result reinforcement, respectively. Besides, salt tolerance antibacterial activity improved PEG increased. This study provides possibility development high-performance, green fibers.

Polyethylene glycol-grafted polyethylenimine used to enhance adenovirus gene delivery.
An improved adenoviral-based gene delivery vector was developed by complexing adenovirus (Ad) with a biocompatible, grafted copolymer PEG-g-PEI composed of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyethylenimine (PEI). Although an Ad-based gene vector is considered relatively safe, its native tropism, tendency to elicit an immune response, and susceptibility to inactivating antibodies makes the virus le...
متن کاملBionanocomposites based on poly(3-caprolactone)-grafted cellulose nanocrystals by ring-opening polymerization
A ‘grafting from’ approach was used to graft poly(3-caprolactone) (PCL) polymers to cellulose nanocrystals by Sn(Oct)2-catalyzed ring-opening polymerization (ROP). The grafting efficiency was evidenced by the long-term stability of suspension of PCL-grafted cellulose nanocrystals in toluene. These observations were confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Time-of-Flight ...
متن کاملPickering emulsions stabilized by cellulose nanocrystals grafted with thermo-responsive polymer brushes.
Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) from ramie fibers are studied as stabilizers of oil-in-water emulsions. The phase behavior of heptane and water systems is studied, and emulsions stabilized by CNCs are analyzed by using drop sizing (light scattering) and optical, scanning, and freeze-fracture electron microscopies. Water-continuous Pickering emulsions are produced with cellulose nanocrystals (0.05...

متن کاملProtection of cellulose synthesis in detached cotton fibers by polyethylene glycol.
Detachment of the cotton fiber cell from the ovule results in loss of over 90% of the in vivo capacity for synthesis of [(14)C]cellulose from [(14)C]glucose. However, over 50% of the capacity for cellulose synthesis in the detached fiber population is protected when polyethylene glycol 4000 is present during detachment and incubation. Radioautography shows that approximately full capacity is re...
